YG

Keenon Daequan Ray Jackson named YG is born on March 9th 1990). He is an American rapper. His name stands for “Young Gangsta”.

“Toot it and Boot it” was realeased in 2009 featuring TY Dolla Sign which reached Number 67 on the BillboardHot100. The succes brought him into DefJam Recoards.

In June 2013, YG signed to Young Jeezy’s CTE World.  His single “My Nigga” featuring Jeezy and Rich Homie Quan released in 2013 reached number 19 on the US BillboardHot100. “My nigga” became his biggest succes. He then released the singles “Left Right” and “Who Do You Love?”  feat Drake leading up to the release of his debut studio album. His debut album, My Krazy Life was released on March 18, 2014, by Pu$haz Ink, CTE World and Def Jam.

Do you watch “Pimp My Ride” on MTV? If your answer was yes, you probably know Alvin Nathaniel Joiner called Xzibit.

He gets his money from being an actor, rapper and television host.

He grew up with his mum because his father left them early.  After his mother had died, he had to move with his father. Now he’s living with his sister in California.

Named after the ‘Bilboard magazine’ he’s the most successful singer in 2000 throughout in US. According to all accounts by the ‘Rolling Stone’ magazine he’s ‘the King of Hip Hop’. Do you already know who we talkin’ about?

Yes, Eminem.

Eminems real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III, but he’s also known as Slim Shady.  He was born in St. Joseph, Missouri on October 17th 1972.When he was 9 years old he had the dream to be a rapper already. Eminems first rap name was “M&M” which later turned to “Eminem”. He has a daughter with his wife Kim, Hailie Jade Scott. Eminem began to rap because he needed money to support his little family.Unfortunately Kim and Eminem were divorced in August 2001.

Later he made songs with Dr.Dre, Snoop Dogg, X-Zibit, Nate Dogg, D-12 and The Notorious B.I.G.In Year 2003 Marshall rapped a song especially for his daughter Hailie, the only girl in his life he has respect for.

The most famous songs from Eminem are “Stan”, “Lose Yourself”, ” The Way I Am”, “Guilty Conscience”, ” Renegade”, ” Kill You”, “Kim” , “Forgot About Dre”, “White american”…

» Tupac Shakur died 17 years ago. He was shot multiple times after a day in Las Vegas with Suge Knight.

» As one of the most famous names in Hip-Hop, 2Pac’s a named legend. He never got in oblivion. For some of them people out there who are too young to remember him, here are some interesting known facts about 2Pac, which possibly  aren’t even known by Tupac-Maniacs.

• Truth about his Name – His birth name isn’t Shakur. It’s the 2nd name of his stepfather who adopted him.
• His Ashes Got Smoked – His homies called The Outlawz,  smoked his ashes after he died.  (Used as movie scene in “How high” by the way)

Personal opinion: Actually the remix of Tupac’s own songs are the best.His voice mixed with new rhythms and beats fit perf. Nevertheless a lot of his songs without remix’s sound terrific as well.

NIGGAZ WITH ATTITUDES

Better known as N.W.A is an American hip hop group from Compton, California. With the Genre of Gangsta Rap, Westcoast Hip Hop sub genres,  sometimes credited as the most important group in the history of rap music.They werer active from  1986 until 1991, their lyrics were seen as very disrespectful of women and mostly about drugs and crime. The group was subsequently banned from many mainstream American radio stations. In spite of this, the group has sold over 10 million units in the United States alone.

Originally, the members were Arabian Prince, DJ Yella, Dr.Dre, Eazy-E & Ice Cube. MC Ren joined in 1988 right before Arabian Prince left. Several members would later become platinum-selling solo artists in the 1990s. “Straight outta Compton” was their Debut Album. The Rolling Stone magazine ranked N.W.A number 83 on their list of the “100 Greatest Artists of All Time.” In October 2012, N.W.A were nominated into the Rock and Roll Hall of fame for the first time. In October 2013 the group was nominated for a second time.

 

 

REMEMBERING THE HOOK MASTER

Nathaniel Dwayne Hale, better known by his stage name Nate Dogg, was an American singer, rapper, and actor. He lived from  August 19th  1969 to March 15th 2011. He was noted for his membership in rap trio 213 and his solo career in which he collaborated with Dr.Dre, Eminem, WarrenG, 2Pac, Westside Connection, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Ludacris and Shade Sheist on many hit releases. He released three solo albums, G-Funk Classics, Vol.1& 2 in 1998, Music and Me in 2001, and Nate Dogg as a bootlegged album in 2003 and on CD in 2014.Nate Dogg died in 2011 in Long Beach, California, from complications of multiple strokes.

KREAYSHAWN

Natassia Gail Zolot was born on September 24th in 1989), better known by her stage name Kreayshawn, is an American rapper, creative director of OK 1984 and music video director  from Oakland, California. In 2011, while serving as a member of a rap group with her friends, she released the music video to her debut single “Gucci”, to internet viral success. The popularity of the song and its video led to a recording contract with Columbia Records soon after. Kreayshawn released her debut studio album, entitled Somethin’ ‘Bout Kreay, on September 14, 2012.

SNOOP DOGG

Cordozar Calvin Broadus Jr. was born on October 20th in 1971, best known as Snoop Dogg, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and actor. He has sold over 30 million albums worldwide. His music career began in 1992 when he was discovered by Dr.Dre He collaborated on Dre’s solo debut The Chronic (1992), and on the theme song to the feature film Deep CoverDeep.

Snoop’s debut album, Doggystyle, was released in 1993 under Death Row Records, debuting at No. 1 on both the Billboard 200 and Billboard hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts. Selling almost a million copies in the first week of its release, Doggystyle became certified 4x  platinum in 1994 and spawned several hit singles, including “What’s My Name” and “Gin&Juice”. In 1994, Snoop released a soundtrack on Death Row Records for the short film Murder Was The Case, starring himself. His second album Tha Doggfather(1996), also debuted at No. 1 on both charts with “Snoop’s Upside Ya Head” as the lead single. The album was certified double platinum in 1997.

William Leonard Roberts II was born on 28th January in  1976. He’s better known by his stage name Rick Ross, as anAmerican rapper. In 2009 the record label Maybach Music Group was founded by him, on which he released his studio albums Deeper Than Rap and many others. Ross was also the first artist signed to Diddy‘s management company Ciroc Entertainment. In early 2012, MTV named Ross as the Hottest MC in the Game.

Rick is a Christian,and in an interview “Coco Brother” Condrey on Lift Every Voice, he indicated that “I had told myself at one point no matter what I go through, I never question God.” In addition, Ross indicated that he prays every time he goes on stage to perform.

In January 2008, Ross was arrested on gun and weed charges.
